We are seeking a dynamic, experienced leader to help drive a new product line and new initiatives at one of the fastest growing cybersecurity companies in the country.

The Senior Product Manager is a key member of the product management team directly responsible for this new initiative in the Rapid7 product portfolio. He or she is responsible for all areas related to this product line, including strategy, competitive analysis, and user story creation. This person will also drive the cross-functional team (including product marketing and engineering) to ensure the right tradeoffs, prioritization, and requirements are met as part of the SDLC.

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to be a leader for the product, a true “product owner,” and an industry expert

Responsibilities Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral Experience with fast-paced, high-growth organizations Strong technical background (B.S. or higher in computer science preferred) 5+ years enterprise software product management experience or security operations experience

Requirements Work with the engineering team, the Director of Engineering and Product Marketing to develop the vision for the product Build and maintain product roadmap by aligning engineering objectives with company vision Work with sales, marketing, support and other stakeholders to define and prioritize product requirements Conduct market analysis, competitive analysis and product strategy Manage product management relationships with key customers and partners Participate on key sales calls to deliver roadmap and competitive positioning Be a product evangelist and spokesperson, communicating with both internal (insides sales) and external stakeholders (partners, press, analysts) through social media, webcasts, briefings and product demonstrations
