Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will work with Sales, Product Management, Marketing Communications, Demand Creation and Business Development to drive the company’s customer-facing marketing plans including positioning and messaging for Rapid7’s vulnerability management solution portfolio. We are looking for a creative thinker with an extroverted personality who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will like to be at the cutting-edge of creating solutions and being a face to the company.

Job Responsibilities:

Drive and implement Rapid7’s positioning and messaging for the a key solution portfolio (Vulnerability Management) Take a leadership role with accountability for driving the business success for the Vulnerability Management Solution Portfolio. Research, propose and implement go-to-market plans including distribution channels, vertical and freemium strategies, pricing and packaging. Be a product evangelist and spokesperson for the Vulnerability Management Solution Portfolio, communicating with both internal (insides sales) and external stakeholders (partners, press, analysts) through social media, webcasts, briefings and product demonstrations Support our sales organization as the primary interface for sales enablement initiatives (positioning guides, presentations, pain chains, battle cards, demos, etc.). Jointly plan and execute marketing plans including selection, defining and managing of marketing campaigns with Rapid7’s Demand Generation team Participate in the development and refinement of external solution launch plans and timelines Work closely with Rapid7’s Corporate Communications team and external PR agencies to generate press releases, media coverage and customer reference stories Thoroughly understand the IT security landscape, Rapid7’s products and customers, buying triggers and influencers

Job Qualifications:

Ideal candidate has 5+ years of product marketing or product management experience in enterprise applications (b-to-b technology marketing) and/or security solutions, ideally with a strong foundation in information security or related markets High-energy, creative problem solver with an extroverted, entrepreneurial attitude Enthusiastic personality and self-starter with a proven ability to multi-task and work under pressure without a lot of supervision Solid technical foundation with the ability to translate technical content into business value for internal and external stakeholders Proven experience in creating content for marketing materials for demand generation campaigns, composing tweets, and writing blogs, website content, data sheets, magazine articles, press releases and other promotional collateral and communications Strong communication skills (written and verbal; one-on-one and group) Ability to discuss business issues and relate them back to technology that helps improve business Requires C.S. or B.A., MBA preferred Industry experience is a plus
