JR. MEDIA BUYER

We are a well-funded, profitable and fast growing startup looking to grow our Marketing/Sales team. Our office is located right on the beach in Pacific Beach. Our expertise is in web development and online marketing; however—as opposed to a typical agency—we build and market our own products and services. We build it, we market it, and we make money. Our team develops killer code and meets aggressive deadlines. If you are ready to join in on something big—and already profitable—then our company might be right for you. This is a great opportunity for someone just out of college or with a few years of experience to dive straight into the fast-paced world of online media buying.

POSITION DETAILS:

• Research, identify and evaluate new publishers (websites) to buy advertising space from. We are looking for someone ready to go after niche sites that are highly relevant to our products but might otherwise be overlooked.
• Negotiate pricing and terms for advertising purchases.
• Set-up and monitor advertising campaigns using ad tags.
• Analyze your media buys and associated metrics on a daily basis to ensure profitability.
• Optimize your media buys by adjusting advertisements (creative) and all other levers at your disposal.
• Maintain friendly, positive and productive relationships with the websites and publishers you work with.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Business Management or any other business related field strongly preferred. (Bonus for U.C. or Top Schools)
• Knowledge of online advertising and search marketing metrics.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS. (BIG BONUS!)
• Ability to analyze performance data and marketplace research and create actionable next steps.
• Strong proficiency with computers (web savvy).
• Bold/Confident – Must be able to pick up a phone and call prospective publishers/account executives.
• Ability to perform in a fast paced environment.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively with management and peers.
• Exceptional work ethic and high sense of urgency.
• Driven and self-motivated.
• Demonstrates initiative/“hunger” and passion for digital marketing.
• Excited to learn new things and work on the cutting edge of web-based advertising.
• Excellent relationship building, communication and negotiation skills a must.
• Possess a pro-active entrepreneurial spirit.
