StayClassy is a fast-paced startup that develops web-based fundraising & engagement software that is used by thousands of Social Impact organizations, including Nonprofits and Social Enterprises. The company is also the host of the Classy Awards, the largest Social Impact awards show in the Country. We are looking for a front-end web developer to join our growing team of passionate self-motivated individuals who want to make a difference. You will be responsible for HTML, CSS coding working closely with our designers and back-end engineers. The ideal candidate is passionate about web development, user experience and continually looking to push the limits of the latest web technologies.
Responsibilities
• Deliver standards compliant, semantic, web interfaces via HTML5/CSS3
• Creation of mobile compliant web interfaces
• HTML development of marketing materials including emails in a high velocity environment where new pages are being cut weekly
• JavaScript and JQuery experience a plus
• Work independently and collaboratively with other developers in defining implementation strategies
• Participate in discussions with various team members about technical best practices and help teams identify optimal technical solutions.
Requirements (what it will take for you to get in the door):
• Minimum of 2 years of professional web development experience with front end web development (HTML and CSS required; JavaScript a plus)
• Paying attention to the small details
• Passionate about user experience and making user interfaces look right and work right
• Familiarity with Photoshop (e.g. basic image slicing/production)
• Experience with dynamic AJAX based websites, JavaScript and jQuery.
• Ability to work closely with designers, engineers, product managers and customer support.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and agile environment with tight deadlines
