At Mellmo, channel development is an extension of the territory sales team. Our ultimate goal is to train and enable our channel partners to become more self-sufficient as we gain leverage for the Roambi brand. Your activities will center on relationship management in order to achieve measurable results such as increased revenue, market share and penetration within each partner sales team, their executive team, and their customer base.
Using your keen channel development skills, you will directly manage a list of partners and work with them on to meet/exceed joint-goals. Because you know that the best partner is one that is educated about the product and excited to sell it, you take pride in delivering certification training for partner sales and partner systems engineers. To ensure our customers remain happy and receive the necessary support, you engage with key partners in combination with field sales to establish extended services partners as well as manage the delivery and certification of authorized training, professional services and front line support programs to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. You understand the importance and value of planning so you create business plans for each focus partner and then work hand-in-hand with the field sales team to work towards those joint goals. You never rest on past successes, so you take pride in building your pipeline and making sure to inform others of your forecasted partner deals.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of progressive channel management experience within the software industry
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Willingness and ability to travel 33% of the time (domestic travel).
• Specific experience with Cognos, Microsoft and QlikView.
• Recruit/enablement/develop the channel – experience with BI VARs.
• Strong experience with a Sales-With and/or Sales-Through partner models
• Experience in Business Intelligence products and offerings.
• Proven track record in a quota-bearing role.
• Ideally this person will be located in San Diego, but we will consider candidates outside of the area.
Preferences:
• Direct sales experience
• Experience setting up new channels.
• MBA preferred
