Monsoon is seeking a Back End Developer to join our team and help shape the future of our web and mobile applications. You will work within our small team, being part of the full product cycle, making decisions and creating software that could potentially affect millions of people.

Skills & Requirements

3+ yrs experience building web and mobile applications
Expert knowledge of functional languages and MVC architecture (Ruby on Rails, Python, PHP)
Recent Ruby on Rails and PHP development experience
Expert knowledge of PHP frameworks and the LAMP stack
Solid understanding of Front End technologies (Javascript, HTML, CSS)
Understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design
Excitement and some knowledge about emerging technologies like Node.js and Mongo DB
Experience with version control and continuous integration
Bonus Points:

Rabid documentation of code
API creation and maintenance
Experience handling rapid user growth
Experience building and designing large scale applications
BS or higher degree in computer science or similar field
Any apps that you have developed on your own
