StockTwits is a fast growing social media platform for the investor community, backed by leading venture capitalists and headquartered in Coronado, CA.
We are seeking experienced sales professionals with proven leadership abilities to be a part of a team focused on selling Stocktwits’ premium products and services to the Communications and Investor Relations organizations of publicly traded companies and other professional members of the investing community. The right candidates will be high-energy, well-rounded individuals with a background in selling SaaS subcriptions and technology services to enterprise customers. Experience with financial market products and passion for Internet technology and start-up environments highly desired. Opportunity for the right individual to grow into a sales leadership role as team expands.
Responsibilities
- Develop new accounts in highly targeted market with extensive support from across the company, leveraging both inbound inquires and outbound contacts to develop new business
- Manage high volume of telephone and email contacts, online demos and presentations daily
- Work with prospective buyers through product demonstrations, internal reviews, trials and early use of the company’s products
- Quickly identify objections and deploy company resources to overcome them and close business
Attend trade shows, events and local face to face meetings as required (5-10% of time or less)
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in similar sales role with proven record of increasing levels of success
- At least 1 year selling subscription software or technology services (SaaS model or similar), marketing services, communications and financial services products a plus
- Bachelor’s degree
- History of meeting and exceeding sales goals
- Experience presenting to executive level (VP and above) in sales process
- Must be well organized, aggressive, technically savvy and results driven
- Creativity in communications and problem solving
- Good networker, with strong research skills and ability to identify sales opportunities
- Natural communicator, both orally and written
- Ability to explain complex concepts to audiences with varying technical backgrounds
- Strong understanding of Social Media and basic online marketing concepts, ability to communicate those concepts to less savvy audiences
- Dedication to success, strong self-motivation and a desire to be part of a winning, fast moving team
- Personal interest in financial markets and investing definitely a plus
