ABOUT THE ROLE

We need someone with great design, user experience, and coding chops to take ownership of our product design. We’d consider hiring someone full-time, or hiring someone freelance who can devote 20 hours per week. Either way, we’re looking for someone to really own the vision, look, and feel of our product.

Our product integrates with email service providers and marketing automation tools. Our customers sign up on the web, then log into their Embarke dashboard to manage and view their email communications, analytics, and conversions. Our objective is to make it easy for customers to get started, to use, and to understand our product.

We use Lean Startup principles and have a flat structure—everyone is an owner. We have a small but extremely impactful team. We solve problems aggressively, learn a ton along the way and have a lot of fun doing it.

We need someone who will:

• Take ownership of our product design and user flow.
• Figure out a clean, non-intrusive UX that is enjoyable to our customers—including interaction flows and UI design.
• Make presentation, style, and functionality decisions so that customers love using our product.
• Design the customer dashboard to deliver a great experience with our product.
• Produce high impact marketing and sales materials (mostly web-based), plus fun infographics for blog posts.
• Want to build something elegant and impactful.
• Participate in the business and aggressively solve problems.

Qualifications

• Experience in design, user experience, and coding.
• Can code your own design using HTML5, CSS3, and Javascript.
• Experience translating complex information into clear visualizations.
• Previous work with customers to design user flow.
• Entrepreneurial.
• Fun to work with.
