Job Description

JOB TITLE: Vice President/Director, Marketing and Communications
DEPARTMENT: Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Executive Officer, and working closely with the COO and Vice President of Sales, the vCom Solutions Director/VP of Marketing will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing all aspects of vCom’s integrated marketing and communications strategy and content.

This is an evolving role. The candidate will help shape the position in conjunction with corporate needs. High opportunity for growth. The candidate must be able to juggle multiple requests for service with ability to deliver in a timely manner, on deadline and on budget.

GENERAL PURPOSE: Develop, oversee, and execute overall marketing strategy/plan.

DIRECT REPORTS: 1 (Inside Sales Representative)

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Marketing and Communications Strategy
*Direct vCom’s overall marketing programs, and corporate communications.
*Develop and implement a marketing strategy targeting verticals.
*Plan and administer the Marketing Operations budget.

Online Marketing/Social Media
*Manage all online Marketing in collaboration with the Digital Marketing Manager. Oversee vCom’s electronic marketing campaigns, webinars and interactive marketing strategies across various social media and online advertising platforms including social networks, and other related web-based environments.

Media Relations/PR
*Manage all media relations including vCom’s current PR relationship. Serve as the vCom liaison in communicating with media, channel partners, and other press. Write press releases, ensure that news and events are accurately published. Represent vCom Solutions in a professional and knowledgeable manner.

Tradeshows
*Attend tradeshows and industry conferences. Position company and its team as industry experts.

Sponsorships/Partnerships
*Manage and oversee sponsorship relationships, partnerships and opportunities.
*Manage relationships with non-profit and community organizations.

Advertising
*Develop and implement advertising campaign to increase customer acquisition, penetration and revenue.

Print Production
*Manage all aspects of print production, receipt and distribution. Coordinate production of all printed literature and promotional materials.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Telecom Expense Management experience strongly preferred.
• Marketo experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelors’ degree in Marketing, Business or related field, or equivalent experience. MBA preferred, but not required.
• 5+ years experience in marketing role within professional services or software environment.
• Strong leadership and consensus building skills; marketing management and strategic planning experience; a proven track record in developing and administering a marketing program.
• Must be extremely self-assured and able to work with strong personalities at the CEO level.
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and interact with all levels of management.
• Effective negotiation skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability required.
• Excellent time management, organization, planning skills, and work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
