Swifto is an investor backed pet services company looking to expand our operations in all directions. We’re a mix of a pet services / tech start-up that both develops apps & web applications to be integrated with traditional services like dog walking and pet sitting, and executes the service itself. We’re currently going through a period of rapid growth and planning to expand to both new cities like Chicago & Boston, and other services that could benefit from a technology oriented approach.

The position is one that evolves with the company. For the first year you’ll be working in the operational end in New York City. That involves a large amount of HR, sales, customer service, etc. After that, you’ll be placed as either a manager or a director of a different segment of the company depending on your interests (Marketing, business development, tech, etc). Through out the first year you’ll also be asked to constantly work on developing yourself via reading relevant books, going to meet-ups for entrepreneurs, or taking free online courses. We believe in creating pipelines for our employees so that they can grow internally within the company. We’re also planning on expanding in a variety of ways and in different cities, allowing for anyone to explore a multiplicity of options.

The position pays competitively and raises are given fairly quickly (at the 3-month mark, the 6-month mark, and the 1 year mark). Health & Dental is available after the first 3 months. You will also have the opportunity to own stock within the company and receive bonuses, based on your performance. We’re looking for people who are DRIVEN, PASSIONATE, AND DETERMINED.

We are also looking for interns to join our team for the summer. The internship is for 10 weeks beginning June 1st and requires a 40-hour a week full time commitment. Our internship is unique in that you’ll be doing MEANINGFUL work, learning skills that are valuable, and understanding the ins and outs of running a business. For the right candidate, this can help build up a network as we can potentially hire you after you graduate, or refer you to many of the other startups we know.

Internship tasks will include: writing and creating content, demographic or market research, business development, learning about software and content management systems, legal & insurance issues related to start-ups, etc.
